Local Kakadu plums and Native Lemongrass are sustainably harvested within a three hour drive from the distillery in Darwin. Combined with sugar and a touch of lemon myrtle to amp up the citrus, the result is a syrup perfect for cocktails, like the lemongrass gin smash!
INGREDIENTS
- 45ml Darwin Gin
- 15ml lime juice
- 10ml Kakadu Plum & Lemongrass syrup (or more, to taste)
- 1 fresh Lemongrass stalk
- Soda
GARNISH
- Lemongrass stalk
- Kaffir Lime leaf
METHOD
Muddle the Lemongrass in the bottom of a cocktail shaker with lime juice. Add the gin, Kakadu Plum & Lemongrass syrup and plenty of ice before giving a good shake. Strain into a chilled old fashioned glass with fresh ice, top with soda and garnish.
