What good gin doesn’t warrant being in a great Martini! Robin suggests this vermouth for a double whammy of native botanicals in this savoury delight. Think notes of white pepper, herbs, lemon and olives. Reminiscent of a perfect Italian appetiser! If you have it to hand, also try garnishing with some old man saltbush leaves.
INGREDIENTS
60ml Mallee Spirit Myrtle Gin
15ml 78degrees Dry Vermouth
GARNISH
Fresh lemon twist
METHOD
Place gin, vermouth and some ice in a mixing glass, and give it a good stir. Strain into a chilled (preferably frozen) martini glass and garnish with a twist of lemon.
